How the technology works
Innamark is an ecosystem with a watermarking algorithm at its heart. Through an abstract implementation as a library, it can be integrated into existing systems or operated independently. This is supported on the one hand by current research in the field of network technology and on the other by extensions for the Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) Connector, so that watermarks can be used directly in dataspaces.
The challenge
In today’s business world, companies face numerous challenges when it comes to data sovereignty and data integrity. Sensitive information must be transferred securely and traceably without jeopardizing the privacy of those involved or causing data providers to lose control of their data. Established methods often reach their limits here, whether due to a lack of security, a lack of traceability or high implementation costs. Particularly in complex data ecosystems in which data is shared and processed by multiple parties, compliance with data protection and security standards becomes a challenge. In addition, it is important to ensure the integrity of the data throughout its entire lifecycle while protecting the rights to the data.
